Spring, My Love

Today is the first day of Spring.  Everything felt a little different today.  I saw more flowers today than I saw yesterday. A tree that was leafless yesterday was fully budded today.  It’s as if the flowers, trees, birds, and bugs all got the memo that today was indeed the day to blossom.

It made me feel really sappy and  I have spent the last hour reading poem after poem by many famous writers and poets.  I could have posted them all, but I chose this one share because it was truly how I felt today. Happy Spring everyone!!!!

Spring Song by Robert Louis Stevenson

THE air was full of sun and birds,

The fresh air sparkled clearly.

Remembrance wakened in my heart

And I knew I loved her dearly.

The fallows and the leafless trees

And all my spirit tingled.

My earliest thought of love, and Spring’s

First puff of perfume mingled.

In my still heart the thoughts awoke,

Came lone by lone together –

Say, birds and Sun and Spring, is Love

A mere affair of weather?
